Transcript Requests

Please note: Northeastern University will be closed for the holidays during the following dates: Tuesday, December 24, 2019 – January 1, 2020.

Please review the following as they pertain to your transcript requesting services from the Office of the Registrar Transcript and Verification department.

Transcript Processing:

Students who select “electronic” delivery option when requesting their transcript will have their request processed within two business days during the winter break. Students who select USPS and FedEx transcripts will have their request completed when the office resumes normal business hours on Thursday, January 2, 2020. These transcripts will be processed in the order that they are received.

General Information

  • Transcripts are normally mailed out or made available for pickup two business days following the date of the request. If you chose “pick up” as your delivery method you will receive an email when your transcript is ready for pick up. During peak times (beginning and end of terms), please allow for three to five business days.
  • Transcripts are not processed for students with financial holds.
  • We no longer accept mailed requests with checks from other colleges or third parties. All requests must come directly from the student/former student and must be completed using the procedures outlined.

To request a transcript, please choose role below and follow the instructions:

Electronic Delivery

  • In the Transcript Request Options section, select “Electronic” as the Delivery Method.
  • This option will cause an official transcript to be sent directly to the recipient’s email destination, as provided by the requestor.
  • There is an $8.00 fee (per email) for this expedited service.
  • Please allow one to two business days for delivery.

Express Delivery

  • Cost is $25 plus any applicable transcript-processing fees.
  • No P.O. Box deliveries are allowed.
  • FedEx is our provider.
  • Requests received after 8:00 a.m. are not  guaranteed to be sent out the same day.
  • This fee does not reduce transcript-processing time, only delivery time.

U.S. Postal Service

  • There is an $8 fee per transcript for Alumni/Former Students
  • No tracking number is provided
  • Domestic delivery takes 3-5 days
  • International delivery takes 7-10 days

To Pick Up Transcripts

If someone other than yourself will be picking up your transcripts, please complete the Transcript Pick-Up Authorization Release Form. The authorized person  picking up the transcript on your behalf must present a valid photo ID.
