I Am Here

All students need to complete “I Am Here,” including New and Transfer students, students on COOP, exchange students, special students, students taking online classes, and those Studying Abroad.

How to Complete the “I Am Here” Process

The “I Am Here” link is available to search in the Student Hub when “I Am Here” is live:

• “I Am Here” (IAH) always begins at 8:00 am on the Thursday before classes start.
  • Fall “I Am Here” ends at 4:00 pm on the first day of classes.
  • Spring “I Am Here” ends at 4:00 pm on the following Tuesday.
  • Summer 1 and Full Summer “I Am Here” ends at 4:00 pm on the following Monday.
  • Summer 2 “I Am Here” ends at 4:00pm the following Tuesday.

Go to the Student Hub and type “I Am Here” in the search box. Follow the instructions to complete the “I Am Here” process.

Students with Holds

If any of the below holds are active by the end of the I Am Here period, your classes will be dropped regardless of completing I Am Here:
Medical Leave Hold
Registrar UG Form Hold
Student Conduct Hold
Admissions Hold
Other holds may result in course drops at the discretion of the office that applied those holds.

If you need to drop your classes due to a hold, you must submit a Course Drop Request via the Student Hub (Registrar Forms).

The Drop Process

If you fail to complete “I Am Here” or have the above mentioned holds, your classes will be dropped and you will receive an email informing you as such. Please wait until you receive this email before you attempt to re-register for classes.  Once you re-register for classes, the process is complete; you do not need to complete “I Am Here” after this point.

Important Note for Study Abroad/Dialogue Students: We will not drop Study Abroad classes based on “I Am Here.” Nonetheless, we urge all students on Study Abroad to complete “I Am Here.” Study Abroad students should enter their permanent address for “I Am Here” and be sure to complete the Travel Registry with their international address.

CPS students will need to complete “I Am Here” for all parts of term in which they are registered for classes. CPS “I Am Here” starts at 8:00 am on the first day of the term and runs for one week (adjusts for holidays).

The Drop Process

If you fail to complete “I Am Here,” your classes will be dropped and you will receive an email informing you as such. Please wait until you receive this email before you attempt to reregister for classes.  Once you reregister for classes, the process is complete; you do not need to complete “I Am Here” after this point.
