Final Exam Conflict Policy

You are considered to have a final exam conflict if you have three final exams in one day or you have two final exams at the same time. Read the Full Policy if you need more information.

If you have a final exam conflict, you must submit a Final Exam Conflict Form to the Office of the Registrar. The form must be submitted no later than the “last day to file a Final Exam Conflict Form” indicated on the academic calendar. Applications for special exams will not be processed after this deadline.

Fall Semester 2017

  • December 8 (Friday)—First day of final exams
  • December 15 (Friday)—Last day of final exams
  • December 16 (Saturday)—Final exam makeup day if needed

To view detailed schedules, students should perform the following steps:

  1. Log into myNortheastern
  2. Click the Self-Service tab
  3. Click My Schedule
  4. Select semester
  5. Click Student Schedule

Final Exam Conflict Policy

Last day to file a Final Exam Conflict Form is September 29 (Friday).

If you have a final exam conflict, you must submit a Final Exam Conflict Form to the Office of the Registrar. The form must be submitted no later than the “last day to file a Final Exam Conflict Form” indicated on the academic calendar. Applications for special exams will not be processed after this deadline.

The Final Exam Conflict Form is available online and in the Office of the Registrar, 271 Huntington Avenue.

 

Fall Semester 2017

  • October 16 (Monday)—First day of final exams for first-half fall classes
  • October 21 (Saturday)—Last day of final exams for first-half fall classes
  • December 11 (Monday)—First day of final exams for full-semester and second-half fall classes
  • December 16 (Saturday)—Last day of final exams for full-semester and second-half fall classes

Please note: Graduate exams take place on the last day of class in the assigned classroom unless otherwise indicated.

Undergraduate and Graduate

CPS courses typically hold a final exam during the last regularly scheduled class meeting.
